Description

The Joseph Marples Large Try Square is primarily intended for large projects or for use with sheet materials. The squares are made from rosewood stocks and have a blued spring steel blade. They are secured by five brass diamond washers and steel rivets. They also have a 3mm thick machined brass face plate.

As these squares may be used on sheet material, at the toe of the stock is a small retractable blade, which, when out, sits on the edge of the sheet and stabilises the square.

All the squares are tested twice for accuracy during manufacturing and once again before despatch. The squares are tested on both the inside and outside faces, and Marples’ specification for the internal angle is twice as accurate as that specified in the British Standard, an accuracy better than 0.01mm/10mm blade length.

Available in two sizes: 18″ and 24″.
