The Soba Plain Screw Woodworking Vice is a versatile and durable tool, designed to meet the needs of hobbyists, DIY enthusiasts, and professionals. Proudly made in India, it offers robust construction at an affordable price.
This woodworking vice comes in three models to suit different needs:
- Model 110217: A 150mm version which includes an integrated 55mm capacity clamp, allowing for temporary attachment to almost any flat surface.
- Model 110218: A 150mm version without the clamp, designed for permanent mounting to your workbench.
- Model 110219: A larger 175mm version without the clamp, offering more clamping capacity for bigger projects.
Additionally, this portable vice can be attached to most work surfaces with its 63.5mm (2-1/2") capacity, providing flexibility whether you're working in a temporary space or a fixed workshop. Designed to be mounted underneath the bench, the jaws are flush with the bench top, creating a smooth, unobstructed working surface.
Both the body and front plates are made from close-grained cast iron for superior strength and longevity. The jaws also have provision for attaching wooden liners (checks) to protect your workpiece and tools. The vice's "toe-in" design ensures the top edges of the jaws meet first when closed, distributing even pressure across the full depth of your workpiece and ensuring a firm grip without slippage.
With its multiple options and thoughtful design features, the Soba woodworking vice offers flexibility, strength, and precision for a wide range of woodworking projects.
